Teams (summer 2024)

The project supervisors support students in professional and personal development by challenging the team members to propose fresh and novel solutions for the tasks, experiment with innovative approaches, and use modern technologies. Each team is agile and self-organizing. The role of Teamleader is to build a highly motivated and high-performing team.

The main project aim is to integrate up-to-date weather information into the smart greenhouse autonomous and remote control.
Three teams are focused on addressing the main challenges of the project:

  • Meteo Team
  • Smart Team

Meteo Team

The Meteo Team introduces up-to-date information on the weather and, potentially, weather forecasts into the smart eco greenhouse control. The main goal of the Meteo Team is to design, construct, and integrate the tailored device collecting relevant information on the weather. The Meteo Team mainly operates in the development environments for embedded platforms (C/C++) and cloud communication technologies. The Meteo Team has 5-6 members including the team leader.

The knowledge and skills you will develop:

  • designing, assembling, and customizing hardware device
  • programming of a microprocessor
  • 3D modeling and printing

Inter-team cooperation dependencies:

  • data exchange – Smart Team

Smart Team

The Smart Team brings intelligence into the smart eco greenhouse device. The main goal of the Smart Team is to introduce self-awareness into autonomous decision-making without the necessity of manual external interventions. The Smart Team mainly operates in the prototyping programming environment (MATLAB) and handles communication technologies to exchange data with a cloud service (via WiFi and API). The Smart Team has 5-6 members including the team leader.

The knowledge and skills you will develop:

  • process control
  • programming
